Where are we?

We are in Central England

Central England is the region of approximately 60km radius surrounding Birmingham, Britain's 2nd city, whose wealth and importance grew out of the Industrial Revolution of the 18th and 19th Centuries.

Central England is sometimes called "the Heart of England" because it is at the very centre (or heart) of the country. You may also hear the name "The Midlands", again because it is in the middle of England. Whichever name you choose, it is still the same fantastic place to visit!

We are in Worcester

Kingsway is located in the city of Worcester in Central England . It is located south of Birmingham and is probably one of the most beautiful parts of the country. In addition to the city and immediate surroundings there are many wonderful places to visit just 40km away or less:

  • Birmingham (retail therapy ) to the north
  • Warwick Castle (gorgeous) to the east
  • Shakespeare's Stratford to the east
  • Cheltenham & The Cotswolds to the south
  • Malvern Hills only 10km west
  • Wales to the west

The Central England Area

A visit to Birmingham is a frequent part of Kingsway's social programme but it's very easy to visit independently. The train from Worcester to Birmingham is direct and takes 40 minutes.
