What is TOEIC?
TOEIC is the Test of English for International Communication. It is designed to evaluate the listening and reading skills of non-native speakers who need to use English in the workplace.

What format does TOIEC take?
The test has 200 questions and takes about 2.5 hours. The Listening Section takes about 45 minutes and the Reading Section takes about 75 minutes. The format is multiple choice.

What is the pass/fail rate?
TOEIC is not a pass/fail test; it gives a score for the candidate’s listening skills and a separate score for the candidate’s reading skills.

What kind of people take TOEIC?
People who want to improve their job prospects. TOEIC is used by more than 4,000 corporations worldwide to help recruit or promote personnel including major companies like Coca-Cola, Ford, Hewlett Packard and Siemens.

Why is Kingsway a test centre for TOEIC rather than any other well-known exam?
We like TOEIC because there is no syllabus and no fixed test dates. Our courses continue in the same way but those students who want to take the test can use our practice materials.

When do Kingsway students take the exam?
We suggest you take the TOEIC on the final day of your Kingsway course.

When do students get the results of the exam?
Generally within a couple of working days.

Do we have to make a decision before starting a Kingsway course?
It’s up to you. You can book the TOEIC when you book a course or you can tell us once you are here. Either way we need a minimum of 7 days’ notice & the exam fee must be paid in advance (currently GBP75 but subject to changes made by the examining board.)
