Kingsway’s Social Programme
is an important element of every course. This is where language and culture meet and where our Social Manager continues students’ informal language learning. It’s also an opportunity to get to know the other Kingsway students in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Our Social Manager makes all the arrangements, leads the activity and makes sure that everyone feels included.

Kingsway is fortunate enough to have an outstanding Social Manager in the shape of Bob South. His job is to organise and lead 2 evening activities in the week and a whole day trip at the week-end. However, he goes far beyond his job description to provide the best possible service for our students.

Bob has created a system of Kingsway bus-stops so that every host family has a bus-stop close to their house. In the evenings he collects students in the mini-bus from their nearest bus-stop & returns them afterwards. This makes participating in the social programme as easy as possible.
Bob takes lots of digital photographs during the social activities and puts them on to a CD. At the end of their course students can buy the “Kingsway Memories” CD for only £3.
Bob has created a number of “Self-Directed Tours” for students who want to visit somewhere that is not on the social programme during their stay eg London, Birmingham, Oxford.

Costs of Social Programme

You do not pay for Bob’s services and you do not pay for being collected from and returned to your homestay accommodation. You simply pay for the costs of the activities. Bob gets excellent prices for making group bookings; we know that it is impossible for individuals to get a cheaper price for these activities.
