BULATS is the Business Language Testing Service which tests reading and listening skills of people who need to use English at work. Questions are of a general professional nature. This means that any Kingsway course is a good preparation for taking the on-line exam, which currently costs GBP£40. Results are immediate.
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It tests the four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking. IELTS is a reliable test of real-life ability to communicate in English for education, immigration and professional accreditation. You can choose from two types of IELTS test: Academic or General Training, depending on whether you want to study, work or migrate. At Kingsway we can register you locally to take the IELTS exam for a charge of GBP£120 (exam fee subject to change).
We can offer preparation courses for any of the above exams as part of a General English Combination (GEC) course or Business English Combination (BEC) course. You will spend your one-to-one sessions concentrating on exam preparation and you will join your group classes to develop general or business skills as appropriate.

TOEIC is an internationally recognised test which measures the language skills of people who use English in the workplace. It measures only the kind of English used in everyday work activities. You can sit the TOEIC exam with any Kingsway course at a cost of GBP£75 (exam fee subject to change). If you would like to take the TOEIC exam as an external candidate (without a Kingsway course) this can be done at any time (subject to availability) for a charge of GBP£250 to include the exam fee.
